Terms of Service
Rules for using Sornic. Short version: be reasonable, don't abuse it.
Last updated: 1 July 2026
What Sornic Is
Sornic is a web service operated by Digiwares (Bangkok, Thailand) that converts articles, PDFs, photos, YouTube videos, and pasted text into AI briefings and audio using text-to-speech technology. By using Sornic you agree to these terms.
Using Sornic
You may use Sornic for personal, educational, and internal business purposes. By using the service you agree to:
- ✓Only submit content you have the right to access
- ✓Not attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the service
- ✓Not use automated tools or bots to access the service at scale, except through official API access under published limits
- ✓Not redistribute or commercially exploit generated audio
- ✓Not submit content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
Accounts
Accounts must use a legitimate email address you control. We reserve the right to block or delete accounts that use disposable emails, show signs of automated signup, attempt to circumvent usage limits, or otherwise abuse the service. If an account is removed for abuse, associated data including listening history, saved audio, and usage records may also be deleted.
Free Tier and Usage Limits
Free usage is limited by tool and account status. Current limits are shown on the homepage and pricing page. These limits exist to keep the service sustainable and may change over time. Anonymous users get lower limits than signed-in free accounts.
Pro Subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe with automatic renewal until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page — access continues through the end of the current billing period.
- —Refunds for partial billing periods are not offered as a matter of course
- —If a technical issue prevents you from accessing a Pro feature, contact us and we will make it right
- —Pro saved audio files are stored for 90 days and then automatically deleted
- —HD voice usage is subject to a fair-use cap (250,000 characters/month). Above the cap, Standard voices are used automatically
Content and Copyright
You are responsible for the content you submit. Sornic processes content from third-party sources — we do not control or endorse that content. You retain full ownership of any content you submit.
Converting an article to audio for personal listening may be permitted in some circumstances, similar to a browser's reader mode or accessibility text-to-speech. You are responsible for ensuring that your use is allowed. You must not redistribute, publish, or commercially exploit audio generated from copyrighted content without the rights holder's permission.
Service Availability
We aim to keep Sornic available but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Some websites actively block article extraction — this is a limitation of the technology. We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions.
No Warranty
Sornic is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- ✗The service will always be available
- ✗Article or PDF extraction will work for every source
- ✗AI summaries will be accurate or complete
- ✗Audio quality will meet your expectations
- ✗The service will be free of errors
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sornic and Digiwares shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms or abuse the service. For Pro subscribers, we will provide a prorated refund if we terminate your account without cause.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users by email. Continued use of Sornic after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.
